Stoping off in Charleston SC is a must for an artist traveling I 95 it's an hour off the highway but so well worth it.
When I was young I had a drawing book that the artist drew this scene, St Phillips Church. I found it and took some time to paint it.
There are many art galleries and a wonderful museum called the Gibbes Museum of Art. Check it out you will love visiting Charleston.

  1. While your photo might be a bit blurry, it's clear that this is a really fine take on that street and church. Beautiful. A long time ago we happened into Charleston because at the height of vacation time, all the motels closer to I-95 were full. We wandered into the old town area almost by accident -- and were awed by the sense of history and the beauty... and this was way back, before much renovation had happened.
