The Interior

The Interior painting belongs to a category of painting; still life and indoor landscape.
The most challenge we have is the study of perspective. My perspective isn't always spot on. I love to paint the interior; I'm not afraid of taking a chance.

Like the landscape, it's best to edit the view you are attempting to paint. Don't put every book and coffee  cup in the painting, unless it adds to the composition.
Van Gogh , Monet, Sargent. William Mert Chase, Hawthore, are some of the many artist who painted beautiful interiors.
Having a little knowledge, of perspective will serve you well. If you have never painted and interior I suggest starting simple by drawing the chair. Joanette Egeli always makes her students start off by drawing the chair when they are attempting to draw the figure, she says "if you can't draw the chair how are you going to draw the figure"?.
Freehand Perspective and Sketching by Dora Miriam Norton is a must have for you library. If you want a simple read on perspective get " Perspective Made Easy" by Ernest Norling.
